Thanks Mauser!

I made the ''min'' 10.0 and the ''max'' 20.0 BTW too.

I'll try and find out how to make the appearance bigger.

At the top of the ''ammo.def'' there's descriptions of what means what so it shouldn't be too hard...

When you say .50 cal are you talking about the M2, or the barret?

Honestly the M2 is a very stable weapon because of the base system it sits on. The one on my patrol hummer has a 10x scope on it.

The M2.

I need to know if the .50cal (M2) creates more stronger recoil than the Barret...

It's going to have more recoil because the barrel is shorter... and you're usually firing it in bursts...

That being said though it is still a stable platform over all. I think games make it more inaccurate and give a larger recoil just to make it "fair".

lol, i havnt seen anything that makes most modern games fair, ya shoot them 3 times and they just run up and kill ya with 1 slash of a knife, thats aint even remotly fair.

and most of the ai guys can see right thru the bushes and walls, like on DFX i can be in a trench sneaking and the walls of the trench im in are over 15ft high no way they can see me and all of a sudden every1 in the village starts shooting right at me without seeing me, not even remotly fair.

and like in DFLW ya got those damn black dots making it impossable to do anything, and ya got these people who use thise black dots to shoot ya thru a wall at over 600m with a dang SAW, 600m with a saw is freking amazing for something that wont hold an orange size grupe at 100m.

and why does most of these games that come out now days, why does the dam MG have more range than dang sniper rifle.
i think that they need to make it to where if ya never shot a gun or know anything about a gun ya dont need to build a game with guns.

a 9mm that kills at 100m faster than a .50 maduce, BS.

I know what it feels like Mauser.

You heard of Armed Assault? That's gonna be extremely realistic dude... and it's the unofficial sequel to Operation Flashpoint.

Features range from AI affected by you, extremely non-linear storyline, every gunshot and every explosion is never the same, etc.

www.armedassault.com

They even say that tanks have realistic weak spots, so popping a bullet in the turret of a tank can be possible, lol. Even more, there is realistic wind on hill tops, loads of insects flying around, foliage influenced by turbulence of aircraft, aiming precision is affected by health and posture, if a building is between you and an explosion the sound will be muffled by the obstruction, possible to even see RAINBOWS in the game with rain and sun lol..., attacking an enemy with the sun in your eyes your vision will be greatly reduced..., when you are tired, your aim is less stable and you run slower, if there's an explosion nearby your vision and hearing can be affected...

SO MUCH! Game can't run on this comp anyway so it's all yours Mauser lol.

The Czech, Polish, etc. versions have come out and there is an unofficial patch made to convert everything to English but I can't really imagine that as for example, converting the radio voices for missions? Only the English radio sounds are in BIS's studio lol...

But it is being released next month maybe or whatever...

I might add minor recoil tweaks to the M16 and CAR15 BTW... and maybe add an Armed Assaultish splash screen when running my mod... dunno... :P

And I'm trying not to make the damage radius too big for the AT4, or else it won't match with the appearance of the explosion.

The explosion is controlled in the game by ''kz_physics'' and in the AT4 settings, it said ''1''; which means that's the biggest explosion appearance you can get in the game...

It okay.

And believe it or not, the game puts you on 400km squared island too... and the time it takes to run from one end to the other is very realistic... lol.

http://trailers.gametrailers.com/gt_...sault_gc06.wmv <-- 16mb trailer... a bit
http://download.gametrailers.com/gt_...ult_rus_gp.wmv <--50mb trailer... total coverage

Believe it or not, even though Bohemia Interactive made Flashpoint (was it called ''Flashpoint 1985''?), Codemasters made an English version of it I think (''Operation Flashpoint''?), so that means making an English version of Flashpoint 2 is impossible, as Codemasters own the rights to the name.

But wait, Bohemia is making a Flashpoint 2!

They say it's going to be 100x more realistic than Armed Assault (Bohemia made Armed Assault too ya know ), and they say you can talk to your AI realistically, using a microphone or whatever, interrogate people, etc.

http://www.armedassault.it/images/pc-zone-article1.jpg <-- Read this article...
http://www.ofpbase.com/hotshot/AApcFormatScan1L.jpg <-- Must READ!
http://www.ofpbase.com/hotshot/AApcFormatScan2L.jpg <-- Must READ!... CONTINUED!

And if you're still wondering if the game is going to be as realistic as your mind thinks, read this interview:
http://www.ofpbase.com/index.php?page=spanelinterview

I know I'm acting like I've played the game before but I have played OFP (totally rocks) and they say Armed Assault will 100x better and according to its features, that's totally a fact...

You're going to regret every other unrealistic game you've probably played Mauser lol. I have the feeling...

My wierd computer keeps trying to mod the game itself...by simply removing ENTIRE code from vehicles. Stupid thing! Let me do the modding!

Anyways...i added some code lines into any vehicles that had exposed soldiers in them, the code line i added makes enemies fire at the exposed soldiers rather than the vehicle itself to make it more realistic. Wouldnt you rather shoot the driver of a BTR60 to halt the beast?

Bots are still using the friggin winch! Those idiots!

And they still refuse to fire from open positions on the BTR. But some help has arrived, so now i can compare...

OFP is back in 2001, unless you order it... lol.

I've yet to do some more modding but I'm currently reworking on my old BHD maps...

Funny how I make my maps and ''they look good'' but then months later I know they suck... lol.

My computer would shat itself if it had to contend with something like that.

Just been fine tuning everything lately. Unfortuanately, this wretched summer heat is forcing me to take refuge up at the house with the air con on. Its 40+ degrees in my flat all day long, i cant even step foot in there...i hate summer!

Man for some reason my BHD CD looks hardly scratched but the CD-ROM drive can't really read it... but finally I could get into BHD... (check Hardware forum...)

Basically the M21 default recoil was 10, I made it 20.
The M24 recoil was 20, I made it 30.
The W300 recoil was 25, I made it 35.
The Barret recoil was 20, but I changed it to 40 ages ago, and since the Shotgun's default recoil was 40, and you said that the recoil of it is equal to a Barret, I made the Barret 40 lol.

I also changed the M203 damage radius from 10.0 min. and 15.0 max. to 10.0 min. and 20.0 max.

And I might add the ''flags shotgun'' to the claymore too. You know Mauser how when you step on a clay and it releases and spreads all those ball bearings? I might ''spread'' those ''rounds'' using the shotgun attribute: ''flags shotgun'' lol.

And can you ask me something? Would a regular frag grenade have a bigger explosion radius or would an M203 have?

Thanks dude.

* Edit:
The default recoil for the MP5 was 5 so I added ten onto that and that's 15... lol. I previously changed it to 10... (I like adding by even numbers!)

And when I was playing around with the M9, and I changed to the MP5, this came up!:

Bloody glitch thing... it's a bit like how the guns are in LW LOL. xD

So would you be able to find out if the M203 has a bigger blast radius than a standard frag grenade?

id think it would be a littl less than the m67 or f1 frag fer the handheld is a lot bigger than the 40mm nade that is in the m203 the m203 nade is only 40mm witch is 1.574in diameter but i could be mistaken.

The M203 has:

kz_minradius 2.0
kz_maxradius 8.0

And the grenade:

kz_minradius 1.0
kz_maxradius 6.0

I might make the M203:

kz_minradius 5.0
kz_maxradius 15.0

And the grenade:

kz_minradius 1.0
kz_maxradius 10.0
