Connection Interrupt's

I know not very many people think Delta Force 2 is still worth playing but to me it will always be.
Here is the problem. Up untill 2 weeks ago I could host maps wonderfully. Then i had to reformat. Ever since I did so, I have been having alot of trouble hosting. Everytime I put it up things will be going fine untill people start experiencing ci's. It worked perfect before, I need to find a solution. I am on a 10/mbs cable connection with a 2.81ghz pentium 4, 512mb ram. I am not sure what is causing this mess but I know there is alot of mad people out there wishing to play on our server "Ahoy". Please help b4 I pull out the rest of my hair

there is not much you can do to it.
Only thing i can say, turn ALL processes under your username off except for explorer.exe and tskmgr.exe

This is done by hitting ctrl+alt+delete and then select processes. Do NOT touch anything with system or something else only if you know what is is for.
Just turn all processes that have your username infront off it off.

And is the 10 Mbs upload or download? ( note the M instead of m M= Mega m= milli if i recall right, but thats offtopic)

You could also format again to see if that fixes it. Is the windows firewall turned on maybe and you don't know it? Any other firewalls on? Have you tried rebooting your cable modem and router if you have one?

This is where I come in and steal the show.

If it says CONNECTION INTERRUPTED.etc then its cause you have got a lag on your server or they do. Try increasing the speed on your modem (Please be careful you have to restart your computer to do this also these are suggestions) by doing it like this:

TOOLS bar on the top of Internet Explorer
Internet Options
Connections
Settings
Properties
Configure

Boost the modem up if you need to but only on a slow modem but thats opttional

Also try tell people not to use CLAYMORES or SAWS as they decrease performance
And set the host limit to 12 ro 14 rather than hosting a bunch of 16's or 22's.

Make sure you dont put too much detail when making maps.

Bye - Chris_SB_FSTr645@hotmail.com - Time to help out
