I just want to chip in again...kick in my two cents from my p.o.v.

When I go searching for maps, I never look at the rating, usually because someone has probably rigged it somehow. I know one place where this mapper (great mapper btw) was having all his maps rated at 1 out of 5, and tons of ratings. On further inspection, it was done by a person that didn't like him.

Like everything else in life, a rating is an opinion, and shouldn't be looked at as the end-all.

It's just not feasible to hire an army of map testers (because that's what it'd take) to rate each map. It would take too much time, plus, the rating may still not be what you like. I know there was one mapper (who will remain anonymous) that I couldn't stand any of his maps. I hated them because they, in my opinion, were stupid. HOWEVER, many many other people like them. So technically, my rating wouldn't mean anything for those people, because in their minds, they were 5 star maps, when I would put only 1 star.

So my solution for you is to get some people you personally know to test your maps and write a review or comments for your map. I would say that the majority of people pay more attention to the reviews than the rating. Other than that, take good pics

by the way Panther own it and personal he can run it anyway he like to.

he will take it in when he can get to it on his free time he'll do something about it, this is a fun site and they do things in their spare time. it's not 7/24 paid service.

Probably because you used caps to emphasize your point. Next time, use bold and italics to emphasize (I think they work better for emphasizing anyway...). Caps are reserved for yelling

just curious, how many maps do get submitted in a day?

Just guesstimating, I figure it would take an average of 20 min to download, install, start up the game and load the map, walk around examining the map, then posting your rating.

So, if you get 20 maps aday, that is around 6 hours of map review.
Sure you could get others to help out, but I know that I personally wouldn't just let any one do a review, I would one some one who was an expert at making maps So I would think that would cut down on the available personel.

And of course, those reviewers will have other things to do.

Guess it would be either having maps not show up for a few days or longer, or sticking with the current system and having it up quickier.

I say keep the current system... Probably, the user reviews will be more accurate then the admin (no offence ) due to the fact that the users can spend more time playing the maps.

About the capital letters... I'm so used to it being equated with yelling, that every time I see words in caps I kindof cringe inside. Reading the above posts, I can just hear the capitalized words being screamed into my ear's.
