Thermaltake Volcano 12

NICE [edited out] fan... i got it, it installed increidbly easy... its pretty much idiot proof (Except when i took off standard cpu fan i almost ran a flat head through my mobo several times lol) but the thermaltake has a nice clip that holds the flathead in place so it does slip. Comes wiht 2 fan speed controls, one for a 3.5" drive bay and the other for a pci... also has a smart fan to adjust its speed depending on the temperature of the cpu.

Just thought i'd post this incase anyone feels there CPU is a bit high in temp.... mine was running about 130 or so when playing games... its down to 95-105

i think a controller is a must these days, not everyone wants an aroplane engine in their case
the 3 blade fan looks weird but it seems to do the job

depends on how much stuff you are going to have in your system how much room you have for fans etc etc etc......too many variables to say. every case is different every system is different.

Personally if it was me - im a freak about stuff overheating etc and i dont wanna ruin anything - i'd fill teh case with the most amount of fans it can handle and dont use the standard cpu fan either get a thermaltake (which kickass)

if you are not overclocking your system (honestly what's the point of that anyway these days with the speeds we are getting out of the box) there's really no need for watercooling.

apparently people have been known to rig up liquid notrogen colling cases, although i havent seen any pics/tutorials so it could be a internet myth.

u can cool with liquid nitrogen, but you cant really get a 'system' to do it. i saw some pics of a one of rig that basically involved a bottomless tube filled with the stuff so it was directly on the die. the problem is insulating the rest of the system because the nitrogen will freeze and kill all the other components

because in Far Cry my system cant hack Far Cry with all setting on 'very high'. but when i overclock it can. id say that was a pretty good reason? or maybe the fact my processor is now a lot faster than other CPU's that cost twice as much or more
