Biggrin Nzsas!

A video I made yesterday, submitted on YouTube!:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqBIvWmk2D4

The clips are all from the documentary, but I got them from the trailers, lol. And made using Windows Movie Maker.

Music is from Tiberian Sun, composed by Frank Klepacki. Found it on CNC DEN.

Chris

Did you ask for permission to use UT99 sounds in one of your videos?

What are you implying? Half of those sounds are publicly used, they're in an internet sound library somewhere. But regardless of whether i asked, im serious about that song. I know the person who made it, and he didnt make it for profit but for his own enjoyment. I'm sure you wouldnt like it very much if someone stole pieces of your current mod and used it as their own, WITHOUT giving credit....I know i wouldnt take that very kindly...

I never put the video up on YouTube anyway for profit dude. And regarding the credit thingy, you were right about that - I'm currently gonna go edit the video and put the thanks and all in there. BUT listen, just incase you were thinking, that video is not for profit, and it's in NO way a commercial, nor it intended to be.

If you remember what i said, i didn't mention anything about you getting profit from submitting the video to youtube. I did mention the word "profit" however. I hope you know who to credit...

All he did was use a song in a video. Its for entertainment. I'm sure you've used something that someone else made without crediting them also, theres no need to make a scene out of this. drop it.

I just mentioned profit anyway, just incase you were ever thinking that. And also, regardless of whether I didn't put up recognition on my video, I did put a hint of recognition in this thread, quote:

I'm generally not those kind of people who take stuff that was made from others and use it without recognition or credit.

End of story. Someone lock this thread?

I would close it, but theres no need to really. I think its settled. If it gets out of hand, an admin will handle it.

I didn't use the remix for my video! I used the actual music that was in Tiberian Sun!

YouTube for profit chrispy, they get paid.

thats why they have a warning about uploading copy right item to their site.

youtube.com is not a none profit group

you should make a video on your own using a camcorder or something and maybe have your school band or a music group in your area make a sound track for it, be real cool then.

if your school has a band teacher in it, they maybe able together help you out get it going on the right way asap

Thanks KB.

I got a bit mixed up yesterday. If I'm right, G-Man thought I was using a remix to the song made by a person on the net - although it did have an ending similiar to the remix and although the music in my video may sound similiar to this remix, I 100% honestly used the actual song made by Frank Klepacki in my video (Frank's the guy that did all the great music for all the Westwood C&C titles). All I did was put the song into Windows Movie Maker, and made a few edits and THAT'S it.

Now... anyone want some pancakes? :P

Thanks for everyone's feedback!

Chris
