Mr. Freeze is annoying. DFBHD

I am having a problem with the game freezing. In both single and multiplayer mode, the game freezes during game play. The freeze occures aprox. every three minutes for anywhere from 5 to 7 seconds, then resumes normally. This is highly annoying becaause in multi player mode, i'm usually dead by the time it resumes.
I have disabled any services not needed and nothing is running in the background. I would appricate any advice there is to offer. Thanks everyone.

Note: My system runs Battlefirld 1942 flawlessly, whice is a beffy game itself.

does this keep happening throughout the cource of the game? Or just once 3 minutes into the game? Is this the demo, or the full version?
