eek Mobo

First i would like to thank all of you here in z hardware forms for helping me out with my comp. I currently am again (i never did get a new mobo) thinking of getting a new mobo. Because my knowlege of processors only goes so far, i dont know it this combo will work.. here's the deal:

I need to know if my old CPU (My old cpu is a 478 pin...):



Will it go in to this Mobo:



THANKZ!!!

BTW!!! this mother board has like 7 exp. slots...but my case only has room for 5

even with 7 slots?...some of them dont seem like they will line up with my case... it only has 4

Run it and see what your "system Buss" & "L2 cache" are.

Look at >>>478-pin package<<< to find out which processor you have (with or without Hyper-Threading).

Check the specs of your new board to see if it uses one of the Chipset's listed for your processor.

Your case is probably an ATX case because the majority of them are. Any ATX mb's will fit in an ATX case.

Nooo...its a SONY VIAO case...says so in z specs

If it doesn't fit in your case then you can get a new one. I picked one up for like $20...not the best but it works.

You can get an Antec case which is really good
