cd drive doesnt know a cd is in

i just tried to play bhd and theres no autorun, i open the game up, and SP and MP are greyed out like there is no cd, i open and close the cd drive but still no auto run, i did it with halo but the auto run also didnt come up but the game did work, i did it with graw, but still no autorun for that game. does anyone have an idea of whats up?

auto run maybe turn off all i can think of or the DVD/CD is not being seen by the system.

i have a DVD-Writer it some times will not be seen by the system i look it up into the Hardware manager it was listed as a floppy drive i had to restart the system some times it will fix the bad boot up, i try to do a scan-disk bet. am thinking of buying another DVD-writer in next 60-90 days.

if there a 0 there change it to 1

0= disable
1= enable

i have it disable do to it make error for my DVD-RW Writer software.

LoL same problem but diffrent diagnostics my cable came off but restarting did help my dvd player both are 5 years old looking for some new ones.
