DVI to HDMI adaptor

i got a 42inch new Tv combo

3ea HDMI connection
1ea cable connection
1ea AV connection (video, L & R stereo RCA plugs)
1ea Component connection
1ea VGA & audio plug-in (no DVI connection) limited max 1024x768 60Hhz

for my video card a DVI to HDMI adapter connection will there be sound going to the Tv-Set HDMI connection

or most likely only have a video feed anyone ever try this and not how it workout in the end?

TV-Set:
Brand: Emerson
Size: 42" LCD Televirsion
Model: LTDN42V68US
1080p true color it says
screen resolution 1920 x 1080 of the Tv-set

video card ATi 1600Pro it support 1080p
VGA and DVI connections
Resolution: 640 x 642 through 1600 x 900

btw i order 1ea HDMI 50ft cable, VGA with a Audio plug with in the cable 50ft, AV cable video, stereo L/R as will.

i hope the Adapter DVI to HDMI will have audio sound to it Tv-set

i do have a heavy dulity stereo system but don't care to remove it from another room were it all setup in
