This Scam

You could go to websites, come across pop-ups that would not close, get blamed, and make the computer a spy-ware home.

But I have a problem, Chief ADFP, you are my main helper for now, and so all the others if they are good.
I have an icon on the system tray where it tells your time
when you start your computer up, on the right of the button that says Start. It has a red circle with a fat X. When you point to it, it says that my computer is infected. Possibly once it said it detected a Trojan. If it were a virus I would have screamed by now. I cannot take it off the easy way. I have to do the CTRL + ALT + DELETE THING. And usally I see things that I have never seen before. Such as Winstall. These codes and all these mysterious living things. I scanned the computer for viruses with the most popular software, I do not think the best. But all I can say I think it is just a hoax. Because no viruses were detected.

I do not want any other things to download, like a virus punk buster or anything, something you can do easily like from the registry, maybe deleting one infected file. Please help me before this gets out of hand. And if it is just a hoax then I want to kill it. Remember, you do not have to ask me what websites I have been to, or did I do anything suspicous, I just need to get this thing trashed and then I can put a antivirus powerhouse to my system.

Biggrin Okay Man

Okay Man

First I am not running XP bro. But there is a website at www.itexpressions.com/virusremove.shtml which tells me the stuff but the modem is having trouble on getting to the site. So if you copy the stuff down from there and post it here then I will do what it tells me. There was another website telling me how to delete it but it was no use. Such as it was saying remove this in your Windows folder and I do not have that file. Please help! A friend in need every person! I went to http://housecall60.trendmicro.com/en...rp.asp?id=scan and I am already checking it out now.

after the scan go here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS05-025.mspx

instill the new update this should cover you.

Step 6:
If you have anti-virus software on your computer uninstall the program and reinstall. If no software is installed download and install Avast Anti Virus free home version HERE! (We highly recommend Avast over other anti-virus software).

get it!!!
===========================================
Lost Start Button and Task Bar

Ever lost the start button in Windows XP? Your not alone, as this is one of the consequences of being able to customize the Windows XP interface.

i know your young and learning, so i am letting you know what it is ok
Before you hit the power button to turn off your computer, you can can always bring the Taskbar up by pressing Ctrl-Esc.

Even if you hide the Taskbar, or move it to a different part of the screen, you will always be able to find the Taskbar (and the Start button, etc.), by pressing Ctrl and Esc together.

===========================================
punkbuster is not a virus it a software made by evenbalance who are paid by US-Army and many other big game MFG to watch over their host servers to keep low lifers out of them totally. this is a anti-cheat tool paid service ok.

don't get it mix-up as being a virus its not at all.

Done Already

Done Already

I had done it! Killed that stupid virus! I am not sure yet but if they come back or the system tray gets wrecked if I restart the computer I am responsible, but there were files I deleted, They were Winstall.exe, Kernels32.exe, Vxh8jkdq2, Vxh8jkdq5, another Vxh8jkdq5 I think or just one, Vxh8jkdq6, and Vxh8jkdq7.

Tobe honest I wanted to get a serial for the Pc-Cillin 2003 and trying to get Pc-Cillin 2003 the full thing rather than the trial. Must have trodden to one of those websites us members damn hate. Well wish I had that popup blocker that time. It was that Gold Virus thing, at least it did not put a stupid background on my desktop.
Thanks anyway guys cool.

Wink Haha Thanks

Haha Thanks

Well every day mainly I am on the computer, when I turned on the computer again it said it lost a file called Kernels32.exe that I deleted. It is a virus file I thing and had something to do with the case but at the same time Windows needs it. The one I had must have been infected and I am not sure. But anyway it was good. I have been trying to remove stupid toolbars, porno icons, small viruses, and spyware since September the day I got my connection back on.
