What is your operating system?
If is WINDOWS 7 or VISTA you may have to run the installer or autorun,
in ADMIN mode and COMPAT mode.
Maybe the installer is corrupted too..

Maybe the installer is corrupted. Was it working fine earlier? Try running the installer in the compatibility mode as I have myself experienced some problems in Vista. Also check for viruses if you can't run the files as an administrator.

Maybe leftover files still in folder after uninstall?

Try deleting the DFBHD folder after the uninstall.

NovaLogic must make their CD's out of talc. I've had multiple of their CD's so far with corrupted data on them, even if they had very little scratches.

Luckily, now, their later games don't require a CD, but rather internet activation. That way, the CD won't get damaged, and you can store it away in a safe place where it won't get scratched.

That was always my main complaint with their company. Flimsy CD's that have to be replaced practically every 2 years.

Sounds like the data stream control table on the CD cannot be read. Go to a video store that has a disk doctor machine which has a good chance of repairing it for you for $5

I happen to know that DFBHD installs on any windows flavor. No Admin or Compat required unless you have restricted privileges which is obviously not the case here.
