this is a charity event held every 2 years i think. it has raised almost £50million this year.

the song 'is this the way to amarillo' was released to the public and in the charts to raise money.

it was performed by Peter Kay who is a very popular comedian at the moment in the UK. the charity use such a personallity to raise max amount of money

Perter Kay recently has had a programm on TV called 'Max and Paddy's road to nowhere' >> http://www.channel4.com/entertainmen...paddy/home.htm

which is a follow-on series to 'Phoenix Nights' >> http://www.channel4.com/entertainmen...hoenix_nights/

One episode of Phoenix nights has a sketch when max and paddy were driving a minibus for a bunch of elderly muslims (i think) to their place of worship and 'is this the way to amarillo' was playing in the minibus, they were singing etc to the music and it was very funny


sooooo basically its all based on humor and charity, and has been on every radio station and music prog on tv for the past few months over here.
