I think those imperial measures are part of what makes us who we are as a nation and they have a very strong hold on our national indentity. We have always here in Britain moved between using both imperial and metric measurements and I see no reasonin future for us not to continue to do so. Trying to get us all to think and in this case, measure things the same as everyone else in Europe has quite recently received a well aimed kick in the pants, witness the rejection of the European "constittution" and besides aren't our differences the source of much joy that makes travelling between say Sweden and the U.K., much more interesting? Warm Regards |

I would defenetly want the specipic british aspect of GB or i could go somewhere else in europe and experience the same thing and that would be a big disapointment and i'm glad that it is not the way, that you can experience unquie things in every one of the countries in Europe and experience the differences! |
