Gran Tourismo HD - game vs real [comparison pics]

it looks very slick, i don't care what anyone says.

you know i saw someone playing PS3 in a shop the other day and though the gfx were stunning, something that the 360 never made me think.

XBox can't anti-alias very well in HD so it will always look fake. The impressive thing there is that they got daylight right. The car isn't too shiny. Earth is generaly in a matt finish and I think Forza could have done better even without antialias tbh.

Still wouldn't give up my Box for a PS3 though.

Well I waited a while to post in this thread hoping someone else would realize this...

Notice how none of the tires are blurred in the GT HR screenshots?

The point is that you can clearly (almost) read the lettering on the PS3 screenies which is the only real realism difference.

I would argue that is because of the computers output of FMV rather than a TV recordings. TV camera gets what it can as something whizzes by (unless you are using ultra highspeed camera). Computers don't.

i'm pretty sure they are screen dumps, (and badly compressed ones at that) surely if you pause the game, the frame will be frozen, so it will not be blurred? the background can have faux motion blur quite easily as some kind of fake depth of field, but the car will always be in focus and have perfect exposure because the light is constand and aftificial.

but i guess mainly because games can't do actual blur properly yet but saying that, why would you want a blurred screenshot?
