Computer shutsdown when playing online bhd for some time
I have this problem with black hawk down when ever i start playing it takes some time (in this time i can play with no problem) but some times my computer just shutsdown for no reason at all. I have this problem for some time now and its not solved with reinstalling the game or bhd.
When it reboots i dont get a blue screen of death and no log of a crash by bhd. It can't be heat cos i can play cod2 or need for speed carbon with high graphic settings and no problems. im puzzeld by this problem cos its only with bhd and not with for example the games above. is there any one with an awnser. My current sytem is a acer laptop aspire 1690 intel centrino 1.7 ati radeon mobile x700 128mb 1024mb ddr2 memmory 100gig hd intel wireles broadcom network and the maker is acer www.acer.com |

will there can be other reason
1.) auto restart is enable you may like to disable this item. A.) Start>Control Panel>System>Advanced (Tab up top) B.) below you see "Startup and Recovery" click-on "settings" C.) down the bottom you see [X] Automatically restart "unchecked this box" then click-on ok some games will tricker this to restart system, not all game will do it. but we know Novalogic, inc will do it and baam your system has restarted for no reason at all other then playing the game. other thing could be your Power Supply is getting worn-out or over use 350 and up is better 550 is real good, PSU heat-up system close down as crash totally or the video card being push to hard. if you play them other games i really think it the auto-restart is enable but check the auto restart first. how powerful is your power supply is? 350wat or 450wat up? acer check to see if they have any new updates for your laptop! ADM/Ati came out with newer software/drivers last 45days. so the maker of your laptop may have newer updates for it check them out as will. =========================================== last thing i can think of its never a good id to play any 3D high graphic games with a laptop when its not plug in a power outlet. it will run down the Batteries faster. =========================================== But again i really not up there when it come to laptop! you may like to ask Scott or others who work on laptop and know about them type systems.

Yeah, you’re playing on a laptop. It's a heat issue, I can almost guarantee it. Try getting a cooling fan to place under your laptop when playing games. They sell for pretty cheap at almost any store like Wal-Mart, Best Buy etc. If it doesn’t solve your problem just take it back. You have 90 days with Wal-Mart and 30 with Best Buy.
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4216991 ($15.87, 1/2 off Best Buy Price) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1074788100200 ($30.99) If you are comfortable opening up your laptop (Be careful of warranty) you should check that the heat sink and fan are snug on the surface of the CPU and GPU. You may also want to remove the head sink, apply Arctic Silver and put it back on. Normally I would say it's a power supply issue, but since it's a laptop and I assume you have it plugged into the wall that probably isn't the case. It could be your ram, but normally you would get a blue screen, same if it was a graphics issue.

okey i looked in to this heat thing and according to speedfan it says that my cpu reaches 50 degrees celcius when it shutsdown. I can only cool this down when i take off the bottom layer that covers the proccessor and let a fan (regular pc fan) blow on it (thats how i have it now) cos when i make the fans blow the air to the table. it dosnt cool it enough. is there any other option to make bhd use les cpu since this is what is heating it up. and i find it strange that bhd is cpu heavier then Oblivion or need for speed carbon. Since i presume that those games take allot more cpu.

Did you look into the cooling fan posted above?
