Ntfs > Fat32

I just formatted both my HDD's and converted them from FAT32 to NTFS. I noticed the speed of my hard drives increase by alot, and files transfer between the dives ALOT faster.

No one ever told me it was that much faster . (PS It's not only because I formatted, it IS faster)

Though id let ya know .

NTFS is definetly faster and more secure but the thing with it is that you can't go back to FAT32 without formating youre HDD. While if you had FAT32 you can go to NTFS keeping almost all data intact.

Yeah NTFS is faster because of how it is designed...it takes up less space too?

I don't think there will be any reason for me to go back to FAT32. It's just what I used when I had ME installed.. now XP is installing on all hd's..

Much happier with hd performance now.

Isn't it nuts how much faster it is? I've had all my computers, including ones I build, on NTFS for the last 4 years. It's just one more speed increase that helps keep me in business

Another plus is it's more secure and stable. Fat32 is just too old...
