3 BHD maps added to dfhq.net

We would like to thank Smokin@420.BUD for letting us add his first 3 demo maps to our maps section. Where can you find these maps? Right here: http://www.dfhq.net/maps/index.php?a...dfbhd&type=TDM or click the link in the BHD section named 'Maps'. Please be aware that within the demo, only TDM maps are avaliable. If you have problems installing them, please do not email as I will not provide support though that. Instead, use our forums and someone will be sure to reply. What els do we having coming? Well tomorrow I have decided I would dedicate the whole day to updating the site. So be prepaired for some majoy updates around the site.

Thanks for stoping by and enjoy your stay!

Cool

How to get the maps working

1. Unzip the maps in BHD Demo folder, there should be 2 files with each unzip. One is a BMS file and the other is a BAT file. Namely, TDMM_01a.BMS, TDMM_01a.BAT, TDMM_01b.BMS, TDMM_01b.BAT, TDMM_01c.BMS, and TDMM_01c.BAT.
2. In the same folder there's a file called demores.pff. Copy it somewhere same. Copy ok? Don't remove it. I've a folder inside BHD Demo folder where I keep all my files that I need to back up. Its called Original files.
3. Run each BAT file, mentioned above. THis will replace your original maps that came with BHD Demo.
4. Start BHD Demo, and Host.

Happy shooting!

It means to basicallt backup dmores.pff before you try adding, deleting stuff from it incase something goes wrong. You have to pack the map into dmores.pff for it to work and the map name must be named one of these:

TDMM_01a.BMS
TDMM_01b.BMS
TDMM_01c.BMS

Your map also has to be a TDM map. No other game types are avaliable.

If you look around the site you will find what you need. Look in the bhd utilities section. I'm sure there is somehting there.

this is the way i do it
i install the Demo twice
one Clean untouched
one to MOD (no need to Back up then)

there are a few ways to pack files into the .PFF
i wrote .BAT files for each map
that will install them into the .PFF

or you can download PACK IT from Terranova

Now which maps are you talking about? The maps Smokin@420.BUD made or the one you made?

Well, in the last Editor, TFD I believe, I used there was an option under General that would let you turn off and on the fog.

Try to rebuild the map from scratch. Testing it every once and awhile to make sure nothing is wrong. If there is then you know it's somthing you did between the last time you tested it and the time it isnt working.

Thanks for your comments. I've revised the instructions. Should be more readable.

The bat file is in the zip file you downloaded. Unzip both files to your BHD folder and then run the .bat file that came with it.

I think I understand what he's talking about. After reading this post I started to dabble with Med too. There's a blue colored fog that covers all the buildings. I believe if you run the BHDDemo.exe with /d in front of it. That should do some good. But remember the following steps:

1. Do save as in the BHDMed.
2. Export to Binary.
3. Run the C4Med, the fix it program. If you don't run this you get blue fog.
4. Pack it with pack demores.pff yourfilename.BMS
5. Start hosting @ Dos prompt with bhddemo /d.
