Yup - ill be fine.
Swine flu will probably become the dominant flu thats going around in the next few months, once we realised that it wasnt the be all and end all the government made the decision to not issue antivirals (tamiflu/relenza) or quarantine people with it, exceptional circumstances aside. Most of us will probably get it at some point and build up an immunity... |

Ive had the flu, which probably means Ive had it. Swine flu, at least as its going around in Aus, isnt any worse than your standard flu, which is to say that most will get over it in a week and only the elderly and infants need to be overly concerned...
As of a week ago there were 10k known cases of swine flu, but now in most cases they arent testing for it and people like me who dont go to the doctor for a simple flu wouldnt be counted in those cases, so you can imagine how many people actually had/have it... |

infection rate in the UK is gathering pace, so are deaths which is inevitable. worst case predicted death rate is estimated to be 19,000 to 65,000, where as regular flu it would be about 7,000. think it will hit hard at the end of the year.

One of our family friends is taking Tamiflu because shes shown signs of it, and when we spoke to one of my cousins last, her symptoms were similar to swine flu.

make sure that everyone takes the full course, the W.H.O is reporting that there are strains that are becoming more resistant to swine flu, because people are splitting a course of tamiflu, or only taking part of it and stoping when they feel better, which is letting the flu build more resistance.
