CI'S (again)
Hey all!
I'm keep getting ci's when I'm joining servers. I never had this kind of probs before tho. I've got a dsl connection (512/128) with a router-modem. We R havng a small LAN connected to the router with 2 pc's. Since a few days I'm getting ci's and when pressing ALT-TAB I can't get out of the game, but after pressing ALT+CTRL I exit and when I get back into the game, the ci is gone. The other pc doesn't have any ci's. Even when the other pc is turned off I still get ci's. It's like sumfn is blocking the download and when exiting the game and entering it again the blocking is stopped. Config: Win98se, VC: gf4ti4200 with driver version 41.09 (42.01 don't work well), dx9.0. Any1 has a solution?

DSL with a 2nd pc connected up with a lan to 1st pc it may be a firewall setting some time its will make it have ci's use to get it with DF:2/Lw/TFD i ran firewall to scan the HDD for programs to enable or block them some time it will block info going in like DF2 i have to disable it for 3sec then after a time reable it.
Norton anitvirus 2002/Norton Firewall 2003/Norton Utilities 2002 best bet is to scan your hard drive for .exe with your firewall. DSL i beleave it has a download and upload one is faster the other is slower. sorry i lost my DSL some time algo but i did have the same trouble too, think it was the firewall setting check it scan hard drive ok. sorry i wish i remember what it was to the point.

I think I found the problem, but I'm not sure if it really was the problem tho. I reinstalled dx8.1 and the ci's were gone.
dx9.0 shouldn't have anything to with the con, but maybe it runs certain thing which temporary blocks thye DL. No more dx9.0 for me unless there's an update. Like 9.1 LOL R there others using dx9.0 who have same probs or those who don't have any with it, I'd like to know what config they R using. Xeno.
