I love my Linux G router! And would never switch it for another, it's 54 Mbps but I would never trade it for a 300 Mbps, or wait I might so I can sell it buy the one I traded back and buy one more!

I would like to do that but I don`t want to go out and buy a new router, and ned network cards for both of these computers. When I get my laptop I want to have a server that stores a backup of most files so when I come home and turn my laptop it updates automatically....can`t do that with wireless B

Why wouldn't you be able to do that on a G network? You only transfer the changed files (for example through rsync) and not everything that you've already transfered

Ok I broke down last week and ordered myself:

1. Linksys WRT600N Linksys Ultra RangePlus Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link

2. Linksys SD2008 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switch (8-port)

3. Linksys WPC600N Ultra RangePlus Dual-Band Wireless-N PC Card

4. Linksys Dual Band Wireless N USB Network Adapter, WUSB600N

5. 3 CAT6 Gigabit 14ft snagless cables

And I must say, it's money worth spent.

Wired connection has been in the range of 270-300 Mbps - Wireless has been around 250-270 Mbps.

Needed little playing around but boy has it made a jump from 100 Mpbs wired and 11 Mbps wireless. I've a 3 meg line from AT&T.
