HELP ME PLEASE

I have a major prob playing df2 multiplayer. I played the game for over a year and this prob just started happening.

When I join a server....it loads like normal...but then when the terrain becomes visible the screen darkens a little and I get booted back to the "return to games" screen. It shows up on the hosts computer as me being punted.

I have tried updating all drivers, two different video cards, different ISP, two different ram cards, updating game and everything else I can think of.

My specs:
celeron 400
256mb ram
geforce 4 440
SB PCI 64v
cable internet

Any help or suggestions would be great

Howdy Thunder. Ive seen and heard of your problem before.

Couple of Questions:
1. Is it just one server or many?
2. Is it my server? If so, you need to have Expansion Pack loaded
3. May be someones firewall?

Also, this started to happen a lot on the KA Zone server over a year ago. Not sure if Killer ever figured it out.

seems to be most servers....definately not an exp issue...I have found one server I seem to be able to play in more than others. It is weird...it will let me play sometimes(not often) and not others.

Hmmmmm.

Check to see if you have the ACP on, if you even have it. Also, it may be your fire wall or something to that nature.

i use DF 1/2/lw use to have trouble too getting could be the following;
1.)lagging you get in asap your out.this is call auto-punt.
2.)the host your trying to get in is hosting a spec-map w/terrain you don't have in your df2(sample Japan is 1 type)
not part of exp.
3.)he hosting Exp type its a add-on to DF2. both party need it to play.
4.)firewall can do it too.(i use norton 2002 auto-setup 4 it)novaworld show the firewall setting for ports for DF2/Lw not DF1
5.)exployer is damage add & remove can fix it go to it look it up 5 or 6 internet tools try to delete it you see a option 1-delete 2-restore 3-repair use the repair this mostly will fix it.if it is damage.then restart your pc when its finsh.

Thanks for the help guys. I fixed my prob and it was all RAM related. Bad RAM = BIG problems

i had the same problem. i use norton 2002 and had to use autoconfigure internet access for dflw
