My two suggestions is to go with a solid traditional name, something that is common enough that people wont look twice at the name, but not too common to fall in a steoeotype....

My second suggestion is if its a boy and you want a longish name, pick something that can be shortened easily, works good cause you have the shortened casual name and the longer real name for more formal things (resumes etc etc)

Wise words mate. ^^

My name is Christopher but shortened down to Chris and the informal version is Chrispy.

Think of a name that you would like to be called.. names are always cute when they are young but you gotta think of grade school teasing etc.. Think of all the funny names people will call your child when he is in grade school.. nothing like having your child being made fun of because of a name.. All that usually passes when they get older though. I was called Scotty Potty by people that didn't like me and Scotty too hottie or scooter buy most others. It never really bothered me because I always liked my name.. In your list I like Alex and Jade. If I have a boy I want to name it Alex.. Sally or Peter are just too generic.. "Peter and Sally went to the store", etc....

In the end it's all upto you though, it's your child and congrats too both of you!
