Oscars Suspended

The DFMatch Oscars have been temporarily suspended until further notice. As you are aware a few days back we had some problems with our sql server going down. Unfurtunately this affected the Oscar votes being hidden from public view.

Since the voting has been put back up and the voting results have been visable some very suspect voting has been taking place with a complete reversal in the rend of the voting. It is due to this that the voting has been removed.

When the sql data is fully fixed the polls will be back up. Please note that all previous poll results will still stand.

Firstly i will ask what site are you representing?

your counts went down cause the poll was restarted. The results from before the poll was taken down was noted and then the new one put up, then the 2 scores were going to be added together thats why it would appear your votes went down.

Please contact me on icq and i'll explain this further.

It is pretty pathetic that you accuse us of rigging the votes. One of the sites had some very suspect votes and that is why it was removed.........to STOP the votes being rigged.

Come on DFMatch, we were on top of the votes, which we were able to find out cos of them being viewable to the public. How can you have suspect votes anyway, it uses cookies to record if the person has already visited so 1 person can only vote once.

I hope the votes already made will still count, because otherwise its unfair, when this vote goes up again it will be for the 3rd time!!! Come on guys all the others went just fine, why all the problems with this one.

I say let it be public, There is no harm in making it public as then people will know its not being rigged. I'm not saying DFMatch is cheating, but it would put those whome think that out there to rest with there slanderus words.

The reason it isnt viewable to public is so sites cant influenece the voting.

A site could see the results and think oh we only need another 5 votes to get into 1st place, so then they go get ppl to vote.

This is the EXACT problem we have had since votes been made public which is why we have suspended the voting and rest of the voting will remain non viewable. FInal results and voting will be seen when the Oscar ceremony takes place live on icq.

Until then stop the moaning.
