Having trouble online

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if my particular problem is the same as Toxic rains, so I'm going to make my own post here. I installed DFBHD and the expansion on my computer, but am unable to connect to the update server for whatever reason. So instead, I went to novalogic's page and downloaded the update and installed it there. The problem I'm having at the moment is that when I join games, it will only let me play until the round is over. Once a new game starts it boots me over and over untli I restart the program. Can anyone think of a reason why this would be happening? Thanks for your help
