way their NL Tech-Support is now (no support at all) some older NL players faith is going down hill fast! they may not bite at all for DF: AF when it release

i got all DF: Serials games that been release and JO: TR, i don't think i going to bite this one at all, i got a gut feeling they really did it end..by slapping off the real NL tech-team support and side line with a site to search for asker's, only when they redid NW1 (spammers from hell hangout) forum the remove all threads dealing with subject people could have look-up, its a blank as in a new forum made up. and NW2 forum aill there not much there to search at all.

some people can't even make up a new account there ether its not working at all.


lets face it last 3yrs they been going down hill and meddle of this year their Tech support is totally dead now

word has it they fire a lot of people there tech-support (should say layoff) so there not much happening there now.

The info on NILE Studio looks mean. ravennator has said it's +1 infinity better than the JO/DFX NILE...

You can do all sorts of stuff like edit the terrain elevation, splined-based road system, etc. apparently.

Yeah - the 250 games in JO were shaky at best - hitting that limit would usually wipe out the server. 200 was pretty stable though. The network code in DFAF is totally different, and just because we can do a ton of entities in the game, doesn't mean we'll do insanely big games if it's not fun, or laggy or doesn't make sense.

The DFAF beta is a ways out - there have been no signups or invites yet. We're not 100% sure how or when. Q1 2009 is a good a guess as any. I also don't know if we'll include NILE Studio ( the new editor ) with the beta. We might do that as a seperate test - totally TBD. It hasn't really been discussed, but might not be a bad idea...

Honestly, the Far Cry 2 editor looked a little faster and a little more polished - but the video I saw was sped up, NILE Studio is still pretty slick and is way more efficient than 95% of the editors that I've seen.

I'll probably post some screens or video down the road - but that might be aways out...

FYI - WAC is the system for NILE Studio and is much more powerful and refined than even JO or DFX WAC. WAC will be replacing Events, all script/dialog files, and hopefully text tool as well ( string editor )

NILE Studio has full terrain editing, painting, detailing and you can carve roads using a spline based system. Any editor that allows rapid prototyping lets you pick a terrain and place pre-made objects on it. It beats spending a month to find out that your idea doesn't work.

thanks man been there just now...you guys have your preferances and thats all well and good its your site,...,but white text is extreamly hard to read on a a light colored back ground.. i am going to have to copy it and dump it in notepad or word to change the font color in order for me to be able to read it....i guess if your jo blow internet serfer you would not
bother with it but a die hard fan would make ajustments...
