you will find it very hard to find the people u are looking for, especially that can design that well and are not currently making money for themselves.

Im sorry but retract thats statement, I've been in the webdesign business for over 6 years now.
Been designing for 5 aswell as programming (PHP, HTML)
And have easily made enough money to support myself.
I think making atleast $500 in the two months I've been doing projects for is very good for only a 15 year old.

And anywho, if you are going to link to a forum with professionals, then dont bother with fex, www.yaxay.com.
Thats the best place for freelancing, fex is practically desolate compared to yaxay, I mean... how long have we been waiting for version 2?
I rest my case...

Its one thing to rush in to things and make a buggy service, which is the case with Yaxay, also the biggest reasion i say Fexboards is becouse i know the people there i dont know the new once at yax...

And i like the spirit of Fex better then yax...

Another thing, no im not saying no one here is a professional designer, im saying that there are professionals at fex...

It all depends on what you fancy, if you like yaxay the most then you will direct people there if you like fexboards the most you will direct people there...

Its not bad starting when you ware 8-9 years old, i admire that!

Fex had skill, then they got inactive.
Its boring now, there used to be loads of posts there like 20 a day and now there is hardly any.

Went back to day, aint been for over a month and only like 2 new posts in the website review forum.

And if you want webdesign, well lets compare the two ok.

Quite a few freelancing threads there at fex, not bad, but lots of people get burned for offering too much. One guy requested a sig for $50 I think it was and he got the p*ss ripped out of him because they thought people were going to get ripped off.

Lets compare this with yaxay...

Well just look at the forum, like 2500+ Contest threads.

Contest forum is best place to go, it means you can get a lot of people doing your requests and chose from a lot of very good designs, and at the end of the day you only have to pay one person.

People paying $900 for a site there, at fex I see people paying $50 and getting called crazy for paying that amount.

Yes, you are right though, it is just a matter of preference and whether or not you prefer yaxay to fex... but we could seperate it out.

If you want to go to forums with more members: yaxay
If you want forums with more activity: yaxay
If you want forums with more contests/freelancing: yaxay
If you want forums that offer an even wider range of services such as hosting advertisement: yaxay

Maybe the amount of skill in each is the same, but overall, yaxay is the busier, and I know that might not be a good thing with their server downtime, but at the end of the day you are getting more choice...

I have never said they dont have more posts, which i could care less in, posts doesnt equal quality....

As i said, its what you fancy... i personly wouldnt chose Yaxay even if fexboards only had one post/month... I have my reasions for it and i stick with it...

This wouldnt have been my opinion when i first visited YAX, it was my all time favourite forum, now its just one among the other once i dislike... I have started to post there but it will never be the same again...

The point I was trying to make with more users there and therefore more users posting is there is more people to chose from if you start up a contest.

The quality of the work might be same as at fex, but you have twice as many entries to chose from.

Same quality, but more... works for me :/
