Lame Name editor Q,

Sorry about this folk's but I cant for the life of me change my name using the name editor,,,,Please!!!!!!!! help me.

Did you log into Nova when you played??? I have found that if I log into Nova it doesnt show my name, I have to bypass log in and go directly to public servers.

I only use public servers,,,,I use the proggy & enter the name,,,apply it but nothing happens from there,,,Just general instructions would help please. I used DF2/3 Fav whenm in DFLW & this is the first time I have used a stand alone name editor.

O.K I managed to work out that it dumps the plyr.sav file in c:

But now when I run the game it gives me the name Viper33 instead of what I put,,,please someone help as I am going nuts

For those of you out there I'll explain this nice and slow.

LW and TFD are a fatal mix of the old mulitplayer stylings and the new multiplayer stylings. So: the name you put in the box when you're customizing your character is the name that would appear also when you play single player and all that, and if you skip the Nova World Login and go straight to the old multiplayer stylings.

With the new multiplayer styilings (stats) you have to login. This produces a second name which overrides that which you use for your character customization. To edit that name you have to login to NW and play with your character options. If you want to do that outside of the game, go into your TFD directory and double-click on the HTML file called "Startup.htm".

I do know this stalker, thats why i asked if he logged in. I dont play stats games, therefore I have never had a problem with my name editor. Too many cheats in stats games to bother with it.
