What makes lag on maps

what are the most Common Things that make Lag on maps ?

Hmm... Well if you're meaning map items in a map, I'm not sure... But for players, how fast their connection is, etc. will determine the lag.

most common thing is adding alot of different items in a small area.

having fire with a lot of smoke going on in the map.

say if you try to make a map of hell with a lot of fire and smoke that will do it, helicopter flying around a lot of them in DFBHD, JOTR, DF:Xtreme they added FX air blowing around on the ground, JOTR a thunder storm with a lot of lighting will all so do it.

some people Video cards can't handle a lot of thing going on in a given map seating.

some time it help if there going to be a lot of buildens having fog 250-300ft in the map help to kill the lag off

• having a lot of smoke going on in a small area were the player see it make their screen lag a lot.

• poor MOB video chip or low end video card can make screen lag as will a old outdated Monitor today game are highend and do to the monitor it can become very lagging as will not up to speed to say
