car15 in 5.56mm .223 is a varmint cartridge,and they are trying to use it as a wounding round, the .223 round is roughly around the same size as your 22cal just jacketed and pushed to 2000+fps.
and the suckers that iniciated this idea of a wounding round had the idea that if u kill some1 they are dead and the others keep fighting,but if u wound them it slows them down because they have to take care of their buddie that got hit, and it takes 3 off the feild for 2 have to cary him off the field.

sounds good and works to a cirtain extent but u will end up fighting the sucker u wounded later on down the road,and he will be harder to beet if he has the mind to learn from his mistakes, unless u plan on taking out the entire squad whilest they are slowed down where is it makes no diffrence if u just wounded for they will all be killed later on.

and u run into the situation where the baddie doesnt care if he is wounded and continues to kill your buddies because the hole made in him is small and just that a wound, and he will continue to fight till he bleeds out,

so the best thing to do is use something a little bigger and high power,strike them at range, and hope they bleed out b4 they ever get close to your position.

and if u want to wound then shoot them in the legg at a distance, prefirably close to the femorial artery, so while u can draw their guys in 1 at a time,if they care about fred screaming on the ground, u still take out the guy u wounded and dont have to worry about them later down the road, and he doesnt learn from the mistake he made and have that learning experince to use later on.

and if u want to daze and confuse them, start with the higest ranking and work down,sometimes if u take out the leadership mechanism they wont fight as well.

and dont fight unwinable battles, for u will use up valuable resources with no gain, but if you win aganst your advesary then you get to keep what he had like,ammo,clothes,spare parts depending on weapon used, and strike harder and gain more ground the next time around.

and remember DONT SPRAY AND PRAY, for in some situatins there is no medevac, and you only get one chance to live in the real world.

and a big reasons i like the m24 is,it has a long range capability,when i hit it kills and doesnt wound,it has very few moving parts and is built on the KISS principle(Keep It Simple Stupid)
the reciver is made of steel, unlike the car15 witch is frekin aluminum reciver with a steel bolt, and in a real wet invironment like jungle and coastal it will set up an electralisis and corode up. and if you get lots of sand and dirt in it it will jam frequently.

the M24 in .308 is a rugged portable longrange interception weapon, and is a bolt action with mian parts, the bolt,the barrel,the trigger mechinism,the reciver the mag,the optics and or sights, the stock, and the person that is operating it,

yes the person is a part of the rifle for in the hands of the right person it becomes more of an extencion of that persons self than just a tool or rifle. and the right person who is trained and has the right skill and mindset cand do anything he puts his mind to.

as with the car15 you have over 20 parts all built by the lowest bidder.
a good sniper who knows what hes doing, with the M24 SWS(Sniper Weapon System) can take out 15 to 20 men armed with the car15 at ranges over 700m where the car15 is good for bout 300m in reality and thats pushing it
