Confused ATI Radeon cards work with Mission Editor?

I got this prolbem,

I had this 32 Mb Onboard Vid card when I first got Black Hawk Down the misson editor worked fine, then I got some really cheap Radeon 7500 64 mb, the Mission Editor just when pooped when I try to open it, it just gets there and it come up with the Windows XP error saying send this to Microsoft bs.

Latley I got a Radeon 9200SE 128 Mb, and I got a new HDD with Windows XP, and it still does the same thing ....

I tryed copying me friends Mission Editor and it still no work (plus tryed copying the med.pff) he got G-force FX5200 128 mb and works fine.... I'm wondering does Radeon work with the mission editor? is my Mission Editor confused and is trying to look for a G-force vid card and it don't make it work?

any ideas anyone?

Hi, i can't help you but i can add that i also have an Ati Radeon and when working with mission editor, before a can edit any item attributes, i have to save and open the file again. If i don't do this operation, mission editor crashes! Donno if it has something to do with the graphics card...

I have had this same problem.. everytime i went to edit item attributes the med would crash. I'm using win xp, 2ghz cpu, 512mb ram and ati radeon9000 pro. directx 9

I have tried removing all video card drivers and installing different versions. nothing worked

Then I removed direct x and installed the version that came with xp, I think it is 8.1 and haven't had a crash with med since.....

Also I'm using med v2.05c. I did try other versions when I was trouble shooting the problem and they all did the same thing. So I am confident that the radeon card and directx 9.0 was the problem
