What BHD files to backup if I'm reformatting my Hard drive?
hi all
I need to reformat my PC and I'd like to reinstall BHD and continue from where I left off. ie...I want to be able to continue the missions instead of starting from the beginning. Could someone please tell me which files/folders I need to backup to CDR and then if there's any other tricks to getting it up and running again? I've got the original game CD cheers Satz |

if if you like to save files
Backup: all BMS file these are maps you ether made or downloaded MIS files these are map editer files you work on or made up. dfvplr.sav game save file if you have the No-Cd patch save it too. any mods you may have added in the game save the mod folder or files all located in: C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down when you done redoing your system put all save files back into game folder Install game update game (download update manual is best) add-in all the save files back into game folder C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down

Also, if you have SP mission saves, back up the .bmx files, and the .pcx files that go along with it. E.g:
0MOD05a3.bmx 0MOD05a3.pcx 0MOD05a4.bmx 0MOD05a4.pcx The .pcx files have corresponding names with the .bmx files. Those are your actual mission saves.

Yep, same thing I think.
You can also back up any screenshots if you wish (they're also .pcx).

what about these other files...
hi again all,
looking at my BHD folder, there are also files such as: ghw.txt dfv.cfg dfvplr.sav _iberr.txt these all have very recent Modified Dates on them. Do I need to back these up too? many thanks again Satz |

_iberr.txt and ghw.txt you don't really need.
dfv.cfg is the config file. I'd back that up too. I believe it backs up your video settings and stuff. dfvplr.sav William already mentioned. That's your main save file.
