Basiclly I honestly hate SmartFTP and the fact that it times out..what a #$%^%&*@#$% piece of &%$#

Whats a good one. Filezilla blows too. Any ideas?

I found FTP Voyager which picks up after timed out responses...basicly...just want to get this damn store online so I can be done with this project and I can move on with my life. After I install all this **** I can show the owner and he can do it...I hope.

I've always used CuteFTP Pro (v6 only, 7 and 8 suck IMO). It's great and has all the features I'll ever need. But you might have problems finding a copy..

smart ftp never times out for me either...if it does, its the server's fault.
On my old webhost, I can't even upload 1 folder with 20 files in it with out it timing out.

On my current one, I can upload 100+ folders with hundreds of files with no problem.

(one guy I know had smart ftp uploading files for 2 hours with no problems)

Only thing I don't like about it is that they say its free for personal use, etc, yet they keep annoying you with the reminder to register.

WS_FTP is the program I like, I paid for the pro version and I have never regret it once. Always been a true servent!
