demo ping

well i was bored and wanted to try out a new game besides CS, so i decided to d/l the demo of BHD. i liked it except for the lag.

is lag better in the retail version of BHD? on the demo, everyone's ping is over 200. the best ping i've had in the demo was 100. the gameplay was smooth though.. it wasn't choppy at all even with lots of explosions and smoke. the only problem was ping. and from time to time, it was rise up to over 1000!!

BHD looks good.. but it'd be great if someone can tell me how lag is in the retail. hopefully it's better than in the demo (much better...)

oh yeah my internet connection is 6mbits/s (downstream). it's awesome.

for me the ping may reach over 1000 but for me it was never unplayable, it was still pretty smooth for me.

it's pretty smooth for me too. but i hate it when i can't hit someone because they're pinging in at 1000 and they end up knifing me.

well like i said i was playing the demo. it was in one of those bloody squad servers or whatever. i forgot who killed me. but he used m60. and he as stuttering. like... whenever he ran, it wasn't a smooth movement. it wasn't like how the guy ran on your sig. he'd be in one place, then he'd be in another place. it was ridiculous. and this was like in a narrow place. so i was just spraying left and right trying to compensate for lag. not one of my bullets registered. it was annoying coz he kept running at me with his knife and slicing me.

ok, because i was thinking, i was playing demo on the drivebybombings server and that was modified, and all of my kills were knife kills and everyone kept using guns so (which were edidted to suck) if i died it was because they we're lucky.

i'm just going to buy it. i asked someone and they said they played the full version of bhd online and the lag was much better than in the demo.

btw, what kind of connection do you have?

okay wow.. i just got back from gamestop and target. they don't sell black hawk down but they do sell delta force extreme. bhd isn't even that old. they're still selling older stuff like bf1942. what the hell..

its the same on demo as FV, i have the fv over 2years, on dsl like 6months, tryed demo out a few days ago, lag is the same, it sucks on both its just the game, i play BF2 & i can ping like 25-30 with the exact same server that hosts bhd aswell & the pings when we are playn bhd is like 100, jumping from 78-109-200, totally unstable, wen we play bf2, my ping stays stable between 25-30, & like u cant play bf2 on dialup yet u can play bhd on it lol, very wierd
