DFLW weird graphics

I have a weird graphics problem with DFLW. Whenever I start a "user designed" mission, the graphics do strange things. I get multiple triangles of varying size and colour starting at the cross-hair and connecting to two other objects. It is difficult to describe and sounds a little nuts.

I have reduced all the video settings to the lowest (ie res and depth). I have loaded the latest nvidia drivers. Re-installed the game several times. Upgraded to version DFLW 1.0.0.42

I have no problems running DF1, DF2, DFTFD, DFBHD and DFXtreme. It seems only to occur when running DFLW instant missions created by other users. Playing the normal campaigns are ok. No problems.

I only play single player and use the pre-installed campaigns and single player missions downloaded from dfbarracks.com.

This problem is driving me nuts. Please help.

PC Specs:

Amd Sempron 64. 1.8ghz. 1 gig ram. Epox 8HMMI-A Socket 754 mobo. Heaps of disc space. Virus and spyware free. nVidia Geforce 6200 graphics card (version 93.71 drivers from nVidia) - Have tried earlier versions with no change.

Regards

J

Probably because the map(s) you have is/are for a mod or something - or, something else.

Show us an SS if you can.

there is two things can be going on here with you.

the game has gone bad
the video card drivers goof up.

i would think its the game it self thats gone bad.

steps:
1.) un-instill the game totally (use Add or Remove Programs).
2.) go to the game folder delete it totally.
find game folder in here: C:\Program Files\NovaLogic
3.) restart your computer.
4.) down load the update for the game.
5.) if you can scan register for error do it.
6.) instill the game.
7.) restart your computer
8.) back to desktop instill the new updates for the game.
9.) try to play the game.

if it the video card it would do the same thing to all others games, really think it the pff files that gone.

if you using a mod for DFLW you have to re-instill it fresh clean to fix it

Thankyou guys for replying so quickly.

Question: As I am relatively new to posting, I do not know what an "SS" is. Please explain?

I have performed reinstalls several times from scratch. Install game. Apply all updates. Copy user missions into dflw directory. Still no joy. I too suspect the missions. But all of them? I have downloaded every, and I mean every, single player mission from dfbarracks.com's database (5 DF1, 356 DF2, 332 DFLW, 683 DFTFD, 286 DFXtreme). I have tried just about all of them but the grafix probs seem only to occur with DFLW missions.

I do not know if this helps or hinders.

Regards

J

you did what?

*Copy user missions into dflw directory.

you do not do that, what happen if they are bad files, your back were you started from.

save files is ok to save ?????.sav

but map files bms/mis file you leave them out till you know if they are bad.

try play without them in the game

I have attached a screen shot. just started the level and activated the "scope" when, bingo! Psycodelic City...

The reason I put the mission (.bms) files into the game directory is because in the past when I asked how to install them, I was told by no fewer than three forum members that, that was the correct proceedure. If that is not correct, then I would appreciate a step-by-step instruction on how to do so.

I will try the "8" series drivers from nVidia and let you know how I get on.

Thankyou all for your suggestions.

regards

J
