taking a pic from a DVD

Does anybody know how to take a pic of a movie that I am going to play on my DVD player on the computer?

I like one of the shots and would like to save it as a background screen or for my screen saver.

1 way would be to download a free trial dvd movie maker program or possiblely try Print Screen and find in note pad.

I must have taken at least a dozen "print screens" but i can't find them. Is there a certain file that i should look under b/c if there is there's a ton of shots there that's taking up a lot of room . I would like to dump some of them if if if they're there at all.

LOL they just helped me on the print screen issue. Just go to your pant program. Start/programs/accessories/paint Open it up then click edit. And then paste. The image u took from printscreen will be pasted in there. Then u can just save as Jpeg in your pictures file.

I also had this prob and could not figure it out. I did print screen and or copy and pasted it in PSP7 and the movie kept on playing in the pasted window in PSP7. I seemed as if it was dynamic or something like that. Because it kept changing as the movie played. I could not get a still even when the movie was stopped. I even did a print screen from a print screen and that still didn't work. I think some1 said I needed a video capture device and or program.

wow. weird.
I have managed to captur AVI video screens easily using Quicktime Viewer and also DIVX Player.
Never tried DVD capture like that though so I have never come across the problem Stealth is describing.

Just remember that Print Screen copies the image to the Clipboard so you wont be able to find them anywhere but there. They are not saved permanently. You need to utilise the edit > paste function in an imaging prog.
