my problem (i need help please)

ok so this problem only happens when i get into the game online

i play for a good 5 minutes with no problem, then my screen freezes for about 15 seconds (pretty much a 15 second lag). after this happens it continues to happen often (about every minute or so, sometimes shorter)

it cant be a connection problem because it never happens when im doing anything else online

it is probably the most frustrating thing ever when im trying to play

if you have any answers, please post them.

can you give us some info about your computer - cpu, memory, gfx card and windows version?

the first thing that springs to mind is a shortage of ram, but that's pretty unusual these days.

i dont think its my specs because ive been playing on this computer for over a year now and havent had this problem until recently

This sounds like a vidcard issue to me. Happened to me years ago, and it was my vidcard takin a dump.

Isn't that a 128mb card?

i had the same issue a while back hence why i mentioned the ram, whereby games would stutter/pause on a regular interval because the system was using the pagefile due to lack of ram. this meant the comp was constantly reading and writing data to the hard drive because it's using it as ram.

next time you play and it's been pausing can you look at something for me?

shut game, ctrl+alt+del and click on task manager and select the Performance tab... you'll have a screen like this:



at the bottom left you can see the Commit Charge box.

if the PEAK figure is higher than the LIMIT, then your system ran out of ram at somepoint.

my peak was lower than my limit

you think it might have something to do with my ethernet card for my network? or do you think its my video card?

play some single player and see if you get the same
