I think it depends on how you view optimism, and just what exactly you're being optimistic about. I guess if you take that view though, you're somewhat pessimistic

EDIT: But I have been kicking some arse DF style. I cleared a flag area with my knife (slit 3 guys), then switched to my shotgun and blasted another 3, 2 of which were hiding in corners

I'm having a ball driving the buggies around the tanks. I jump out, drop a mine, then drive off. They try to follow and go boom. Unfortunately, the smart ones usually know what I'm up to and try to run me over before I can drop one

What I don't like is, as soon as you die, all the mines you placed disappear

BTW: I got banned from a server that DD and I were playing in.
I was a gunner for a helo and we would attack a fort and our guys would like drive in there or walk right where I was shooting.

Don't you hate that? I was in a place last night, and this guy wanted to drive the buggy I was in. So instead of asking for it (I was waiting for him to get in), he kills me. Made me so mad...

I had a great time though. The engineer is great for clearing out the forts. The shotgun is 1 shot kill, so if done right, you can wreak havoc.

that sucks, i was in a 32 player server and was in the MEC attack heli, went to their ship and the area where the boats are under it there was about 4 guys so i done a hollywood style lower hover over the water, fired all my rockets and on the last 3, what happens? a friendly boat goes right infront of me :-|.

didnt get banned though lol

I joined the server and we went straight to the aircraft carrier in our Mig and just camped there and took out everyone...no one could shoot us down

I can fly ok, but attacking or taking evasive action is totally out of the question. I'm thinking about buying a joystick

You're only good in a helo if you have a pilot and a gunner.

gunners make it soo fun.


We need to try it sometime Dr B.

I was raking up the kills because the pilot was really good. most pilots go and dive bomb a base, waste all their rockets and then bail the helo with no thought of the gunner.

I like it when people thing about the gunner and fly in places where the gunner can do his job.

I'm a pretty decent gunner in a chopper...if the pilot actually lets me gun.

When I fly a chopper, it's for the sole purpose of getting me to where I want to go and bailing out
