sys.dump error

I'm sorry steve i couldn't place this in the faq section because it is a closed thread but I Had a question about your post
was wondering I use norton 2003 and was wondering how to disable it because i get a lot of sysdump.txt errors? Also My intel card (video) I think is up to date so maybe's it's norton
Also are there more single player missions or campaigns?
I used to play on nova logic all the time but now that some
one has figured out how to cheat and such.... A cheat free server section on there would be great
My Poll:

Do you think we need a cheat free server?
yes I'm tird of getting my butt kicked all the time because my team mate or some one else hacks and or cheats

No Quit your complaining about cheaters there will allways be people who do that.

PROBLEM:
Why am I receiving a SYSDUMP.TXT error in the game?

RESOLUTION:
SYSDUMPs are generated by the game when the game tells Windows (using DirectX) to perform a function. Windows then instructs the hardware (using the hardware\'s drivers) to generate the image or sound. If for any reason there is confusion in the process, you receive a sysdump.

We have also found that Athlon and Duron motherboards with VIA and AMD chipsets are much more sensitive to proper driver installation than any other configuration. Be sure to update all of the following to the most recent available from each manufacturer:

- The latest BIOS for your particular motherboard

- The latest Chipset drivers for your motherboard, including the latest AGP Miniport driver

- The most recent video card and soundcard drivers for your system

Make sure that no anti-virus software is running in Windows when you play the game (especially Norton Anti-Virus). These programs conflict with the normal processes of the game and may be the source of your system crashes.

sry it's kinda hard to follow the thread :/
too many questions and some that you answered yourself. anyhoo i'll try to help

nortons has nothing to do with sysdumps.

you can disable nortons by right clicking on its icon in the task bar, and select 'close' i presume.

vid cards generally have nothing to do with sysdumps. (NL is trying to say it's not their fault effectively).

sysdumps are usually caused by a corrupt map. or a bad object in a map. if you get a sysdump when playng a Nova map then you might have to reinstall the game. if its a custom map then it probably has a bad item in it like claymores. there are a few items that trigger sysdumps, the only one i remember is claymores. (these are placed in teh game by the map maker not layed by payers).

sry nothing u can do about cheaters.

hope that's the info u need
