Google BOTS

Hey! For some reason I cannot get google to search my Invision Board! It has been up for over 2 mths and google has searched my main site page, it just refuses to search the forum. Anyone know what would cause this?

google follows links. if google doesnt find any links to your forums it will never search them.

also make sure bots are turned on in the admin section of the control panel.

the best way is to go to invisionboard.com and register, in your profile make a link to your HOMEPAGE (assuming you have a link to your forums there) then make a sig that has a link to your homepage.make a few semi relevant post (so they dont delete them) and google will be to your site in a few days.

invision is hit hard by google because every invision forum has a link to them.

also put this in your head

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="INDEX, FOLLOW">
<META NAME="REVISIT-AFTER" CONTENT="1 DAYS">

Hehehe I am registered at invision but you cannot post on their forum uless you pay. I have 1.3 which was a free version. I have a link to my forum on my main page. Bots have visited my main page but never went to the forum. I know google crawls techsupportforum.com a lot so I am going to post on there with my sig.

I heard you can make a robot.txt file or something.
