Server problem

Hi all, when i put a server up i can get ppl joining without any problems, but when my m8 trys 2 join my server, the game wont let him in, all he see's is the green screen, but he can join other servers without a problem. Even when i give him my ip address DF does not find it, the thing is, its the same for me when i try 2 join his server, i cant get in either.
Its like our pc's dont reconise each others DF, but we both can join other servers and host without any probs. We have done fresh install of DF and we both have had our firewalls turned of, we dont use routers or anything like that, we have just totaly run out of ideas, i would b gratefull if any 1 can help here.

sounds like a strange problem (actually, I've a similiar thing happen in another game, but the server was a remote server and me and my friend couldn't join games the other made unless we stuck a password on it...really weird).

BTW, are either of you using Windows XP by chance?

And do you both have another game where you could try this same thing w/that game and see what happens?

yes, see if ur m8s are on windows xp, or are on AOL sometimes that messes up ppl' games..

so your not on a network? If you are then make sure your computers are communicating with each other. What OS are you running? Win95/98 Win2000? WinXp? xxx
