Ethics question

What I would like to do is add a few spawns to a map that was built by another mapper.I have not made any changes yet as I sent an E-mail asking for permission.Did I do the right thing by asking or should I have not asked at all? I hope I did not insult the builder as this map is really cool.Some players on my server asked for these additions.So,did I screw up?

nope good thinking to ask the mapmaker for permission. But i think you shoulda have this posted int he mapmakers section.
I think its very annoying when you worked hard on a map and willing to share it that you sumtime found out that your map is been changed by others without beeing asked for.

The best thing to do is contact the map maker ask him/her and put him/her in the map like under "map maker" put also helped by blah blah blah

Well, I have the permission I requested.But, I think If I have chute spawns the AT4 rocket rats will use them to their advantage(ie kill snipers)Oh well, I will give it a try.

I agree with ya kat, I pass out my maps to several different teams and have just heard that 1 of them made some changes, I am not very happy at all about it and might even stop sharing my maps with these violators of my art ! lol.
