im still adding and hacking the vB code on it but ive only been working on it for the last 2 days and am taking a break for a couple of days to let it all settle down and get some responces from the communities...thnx

yeah m8 it looks good
its definatley "better than your average squad site" IMHO.
i dunno what to say really, but the only thing i thought was that the banner and the buttons at the top are purple and the colour theme for the rest of the site is the blue/grey colour.
i don't think that really maters much but it might be worth trying to match the banner to the blue/grey colour. it wouldt only take a few seconds in photoshop or whatever using a hue/saturation adjustment layer.
hehe also that button colour - although it matches the banner - reminds me too much of the standard vBulletin theme which makes me cringe
ok one last minor point - the "dfmafia.net" that is written on the banner spolis it. it is all jagged

could u walk me through the steps u took to do that...i have paint shop pro 7 but not photo shop yet

the address was added when i noticed other people on other boards using it as their personal sig...the text was a quick thig i added while at work and never got around to fixing

yeah the colors r very common nowadays but they werent 3 years ago when i moved our site from geocities to moonfruit and used those colors on the moonfruit site - then i moved it again back to html and php and kept those colors...then DFA changed their froums to vB from phpBB a year ago and since then the dark blue, grey, and violets have been popping up around the gaming communities...

php-nuke has a lot going for it but i hated the phpBB forums it came with and i couldnt figure out how to get vB hacked to work with the php-nuke...so i got vBPortal which is easier to run though im going to have to create or edit new blocks and modules cause there isnt a large following for vBP as there is with PHP-NUKE

the site is more than a squad site...the squad is expanding into other games so our site has become a resource site for the games we play

theres still quite a few bugs in it that we r working out now...some coding errors on the link, downloads and search pages...they should be ironed out later this week (time is a valuable thing isnt it) - im still adding hacks to forums to be more user friendly and a personalized look ( example: vB Code I've Added page loads slow)

B.T.W. i wont pay for vB styles cause its not unique...any1 can buy a style and it starts to get around soon ull c 5-6 different sites that look the same...this skin has been around for over a year now...i thought about it when i frist started with vB

Why would anyone get stuff from vbskins.com? As G.I said, 5 - 6 sites use them!

I know some awsome dudes that make vB skins and that dont sell em to others, its your and no one else will ever get the hand on it
