Wow, i just got through with my behavioral science class on this issue. its mainly to prevent the female infanticide that is practiced in India and China...china is still ridiculous but India is making strides to urge the birth of females, prevent infanticide and female sex planned abortions

I read they were doing it because american/british women dont want the burden of pregnancy / cant have children while women in africa find it as an easy way to put alot of food on the table.
