New JO mod im making

Edited Shock and Awe mod...added some more shock,awe.

heres the readme, still testing though.

Intro::::::::::::::
I just took the SNA mod and added more shock, more awe and some realistic features. (and some unrealistic ones!, but ALL IN THE NAME OF FUN!)

Specifics::::::::::::::

More ammo for most weapons:::::
M203 now has 20 extra nades
SMGs have 360 rounds
Some rifles carry 300 instead of 270
All snipers hhave more ammo
Barret has 50 rounds, all other snipers have somewhere over 100.
Unlimited Javelins (loved this in cod4, just a guilty pleasure)
1 AT4

Emplaced weapons:::::
Empl. weapons now have sights.
mpl. weapons have magazines. (Miniguns have 500/5000 rounds, MK19 how has 50/250, and M2s have 150/750.)
Miniguns are now more devestating. ROF is as fast as the game allows, and all you see aretracers when you fire.
MK19s are now weapons to be feared. They fire 203 rounds (see below) at around 3 per second.

Damage adjustments:::::

Damages tweaked on most bullet-type weapons.
2-3 M203s now takes out BTRs.
AT4 kills BTR in 1 shot, 2 for tanks.
Barret kills most light vehicles in 1 shot, BTR takes ~4, tanks take ~8.

Misc::::::
LMGs now have very good accuracy and VERY little recoil when prone. Just assume the bipod is down.
New sounds taken from CS, BELIVE ME they work nicely with JO.
New "BHD-style" sounds for M16, M4.
Recoil tewaked on rifles
Snipers can carry SMG with 60 rounds. (I like carrying a pistol better)
Sniper rifles now elevate in increments of 50m, and are default set at 300m.
Helos carry 100 rockets (4x 25 rocket Zuni pods), and fire them as fast as a MK19. (3 rockets/1 second)
SR-25 has silenced sound from cod4, and bullet velocity is reduced so its harder to snipe with.

you are joking right?

think it would take a whole lot more to take out a any Tanks maybe 250-500 rounds as for the BTR think it would take like 150 rounds hitting it on the same spot plus it made to take damage

if your lucky head shot the drivers make it dead stop on the spot, but no damage do to the driver BTR its heavy armor liter then a tank, Tanks off..

Hummer maybe 1-5 rounds to kill it off, but not the same for a BTR don't think so.

20ea rounds on a very small spot on the outta walls will punch a hole into it,

but then again we are talking about a video game and not the real world

When the barret was first introduced to service, it was against Geneva to use it against people. Its primary use is anti-vehicle (or EOD), just like the KSVK and Boys AT (just to name a few) rifles that preceded it. It is useed to shoot the tracks on a vehicle, a tank or BTR, and if the round hits the tracks, the tank/apc is disabled, and it cant move anywhere. since JO has no vehicle hitboxes, I just made the barret destroy the vehicles.

As for the light vehicles, JO doesent support having a round do differnt damages to diffrent items. (will do the same damage to Hummer or Tank)

MGs now carry ~1000 rounds of ammo.
SAW carries 1000

More Nonsense, why not go the REALISTIC way, whats next? the ability to pass thru buildings? or even get the AI to dance a jig?
Most mappers try to keep to some REALISM even the most basic story, why blow it over some teen fancy as you propose, so much work for you, easier if you just reloaded 'DOOM'

Please explain your post, mermite. SAW gunners in Iraq/Afghanistan normally head out with 1200 rounds for thier SAW.

As I said, my mod is MOSTLY realistic, but some things arent.

Oh no I don't, far from it. The Nova sucks we all agree on that, but as a mapper I/we expect you to work thru it's faults.
As I said before it's story telling, and using Hollywoods idea of a hero, you are an average guy (Bravo) in an unusal situation, and if you live and complete the story then you are the hero...simple, unlike Nova's idea of a hero, that you are an above average
well educated American soldier who gets to kill 3rd world peasents by the million, with multi million doller equipment............hardly fair?
SAW, squad weapon, 1200 rnds div by 4= 300 rnds each, + your own 60kg(125lb) pack
go figure, I go the other way reduce ammo so player has to hunt it out, or select targets...lololol!

War isnt meant to be fair. The SAW box is 200 rnds, thats 6 boxes to carry. You arent carrying a 125 pound pack, your just carrying BDU, web gear, body armor, and weapon+ammo.
