who made the card MFG? is it XFX or some other company?

you may have to update the bois and chipset for the mother broad so it knows how to work with it

when every you added in a new video card to the system always unstill the video software that is already in still or the system will never know what the video card is.

look in add & remove for all video software that is instill unstill them then add-in the new hardware to the system.

i bet you never unstill the Graphic software before you added in the video card.

step
1.) unstill any graphic drivers & software (MOB pre-instill))
2.) close down the system.
3.) add-in new video card (at this time only)
4.) bootup the system.
5.) system found a new hardware. don't let it instill the software or drivers X-out.
6.) you instill the new updated drivers and software (best you do it)
7.) restart system.
8.) happy gaming time now.

best disable system restore reboot system. reason if some fool use it it will remove all you done and talk about a big trouble. disable it restart system then enable it.

your MOB drivers and software for the video chip is still in the system remove it by unstill it.

that does look like a good solution but itll take a while before i will be able to see.

@cheif
those instructions are what the manual said but that just left me where im now: blank screen because the computer doesnt know that theres a new video card. and cant plug monitor to motherboard because both connectors are the same.

Add/Remove Hardware? Use that and see if that detects the GFX card, then use the stock drivers.

^ That's unlikely it'll work anyway... ^

If in anyway the crap hits the fan, I'd go contact nVidia directly. I'd rather ring them up because it's faster and better in some ways...

Now for some reason this damn computer won't load the webpage so search for some troubleshoot topics or whatever first. I'd also maybe update the mobo BIOS?

Chris

you would not plug the monitor in to the MOB it would need tobe plug into the Video card only.

can youplug it into the Video card at all?

if you got the wrong type of video card, you maybe able to buy a adapter for it. so your Monitor can plug into the video card

i figured out the problem now, now im not typing from my wii anymore.

heres whats wrong, its an agp 2.0 slot, and that means theres a little white tab that holds down the video card in place. since the gfx card itself is thick, and makes it harder to reach that tab, i thought that it was fine enough, well i was wrong. now that tab is secured and now i can finaly chat with you guys using my pc again!
