firefox newtab

firefox version 16

every time i turn around the newtab gets hijacked to some url site

i reset it time after time still it get change real soon

anyone knows a plug-in or a tool that would block 3rd party changing it on me?

in the setting there no newtab option to use like the home page has a option to use

i found a how to reset the newtab and found a handy item remove all crap out of it that is bad too

best part it free and cover IE, FF, Google Chrome
scan for item that are deadly in them and give option to block them

it found like 30 item in all three of them browser
one of the item i was having trouble with it taken care of and i reset the newtab to blank page

enter url address bar above type-in: about:config

answer "ill be careful" to warning

enter search "newtab"

find: browser.newtab.url;about:blank
1.) if it don't say "about: blank" change to that
2.) if you wish it to open to a website after "browser.newtab.url; "www.novahq.net""

i made my newtab to blank page when it opens

yup already updated 16.0.1 about, but they say more updates are coming too

btw i notice some are having trouble with FF 16s with the flash player
it crash, all one need to do is re-install it and get a new download of the flash-player

Check you addons - Put this in as home the page url then all should open blank
