Doeant change my attitude, but it gets me excited when im holding back alot of people with my m21 or dodging stingers

I haven't noticed any change in how I act. I don't do things I should tho when I want to play . Other then that I just play because it's fun.

All the so say 'elite' that cant be beat, but when they do they whine and cry. I also really hate the words n00b and fag. When my girfriend calls and wants to talk about nothing.

I don't get angry. It just bugs me, usually just keep killing them and maybe put up a once in awhile when they call me something.

for fun, competing and social aspect.
fun is just for pleasure, for a laugh etc
competing in matches is exciting and makes the gaming experience change. when competing it's not as much fun but intense and maybe gaming seems more worthwhile / you kind of have something to show for it when your team 'is the best'.
gaming is seen as anti-social but i've met a lot of great people and am constantly interacting with other people. I went to Germany to meet 20 of the gaming community i was part of, i met up with ppl from holland, switzerland, germany and italy, just because i played a game once. i would never have met people from those countries if it wasn't for multiplayer gaming. of course there is more to life then sitting in front of a computer and playing games, but i don't see anything wrong with having a hobby which has lead to real friendships... unlike sitting infront of a television all evening in a semi hypnotised state like most people who think computers are for geeks!
( maybe i'm going on a bit sorry )

also it gives you some time away from the bad times that everyone has from time to time. play some games, have some fun, forget what you were worrying about.

6 - tricky question really as it depends on your depiction of 'violence'. I'd say shooting other people is classed as violence. As the game is fairly realistic i.e. shooting humans not robots then i would say its pretty violent.

maybe someone i live with could say more about this. personally i don't think so, i'm a pretty passive person who avoids confrontation and i'm not that easily wound up, always have and probably always will. i certainly have no urge to buy a gun and hide in bushes planning an ambush.

cheaters, doing something stupid, lag, arrogant players, voice comms, bad advice, team killers etc etc

Do you get angry when that happens and if so, what do you do?
cheaters - lowest of the low. they are truley special needs individuals. hackers have a such great talent but use it in the wrong way. some ppl cheat and they still cant win, this is just plain funny but those that intentionally create hacks to ruin the game for other players can be really annoying. depending on the circumstances i just leave the game, but if a match then get proof and get them banned or accept it. it's not such a big deal unless its a competition, and then things can be done about it.
mistakes - just human nature but nothing worse then knowing it was your own fault. work on not doing the same thing again.
lag - knowing you cant do anything about it. you shoot someone and they don't die, extremely frustrating tryign to do something that is impossible! just have to switch off the game and go back later.
team kills - dont really have to explain this, they know you're there but they kill you. even when total accident this can hurt. if done on purpose then this is pretty low as far as gaming goes.
all the above can affect people in different ways depending on how long they have been playing games and how competitive they are. i think all the above have a much bigger affect on me now than 2 years ago.

need to hear the game sounds. am able to tell direction of shots and can hear other players moving when they are close or around a corner.

For fun and meeting other people on line who share common interests. I think the gaming community is made up of some the nicest people I've ever met and I like shooting them lol!

What multiplayer games? Black Hawk Down, Far Cry, Call of Duty.

Do I rate these games as violent? Yes your shooting other people so it's a vicarious experience of real violence.

How does it affect my life? It certainly doesn't make me more aggressive and I avoid confrontation in real life where I can. Like Steve I don't feel the need to get a gun and ambush some one.

What annoys me when playing games? Cheat's, people with a very arrogant attitude and abuse of other players from some less likeable characters I've come across whilst on line gaming. People who take the game far to seriously.

Do I get angry? Yes when people are obviously cheating as I see no point in it after all, it's only a game what ever game it happens to be.

During Gaming do I listen to music? No

Why do I not listen to music? Simple I need to hear what's going on in the game.
