Damn that sucks big time! Sorry to hear that buddy!

Hope it will be a quick recovery! And hope that the sign was not a bad thing (feeling)

What on earth happened?

Sorry, don't know anything about that stuff

yeah i really want to get up and see her, but my parents are working 9-5, and cant get me there, our trains are a nightmare aswell

going to do some bribing with her mum to take me up in the morning, dont know if it will work

a thing that must be comforting for selina is that her sister works in the same hospital (as a cleaner) so atleast there will always be someone there for her

webviper.. read the posts above, shes been in hospital since monday

northern, im not in belfast, im 30 miles from it, and belfast is not dangerous anymore.. theres nothing wrong with going out for a drink, it just seems that shes just forgot to check for cars before crossing, or has stumbled onto the road

went to see her thismorning, she seems alright (shes smiling) but is upset about it all

they are doing lots of scans and x-rays on her, theres almost a days wait between everything they want to do because of not having enough equipment... (typical NHS..) they say she is lucky that it was only her legs that got broken (although not been able to feel anything waist down is bad..) because the driver of the car said she was going at about 40 mph (in a 30mph zone.. ffs..) the doctors have said they have seen people coming in after been hit by cars going at 25 and 30 in worse condition

there is some sort of specialist going to be seeing her today, and if not today monday, about her back area

dont mean to sound like a bad guy here.. and sorry that shes been hurt... but what if the woman by any chance was in the hurry to get to the hospital? it isnt like she was going amazingly fast (otherwise it wud have been worst) what if the woman was rushing to see her dying daughter or sumthing.. i no this is gonna make me sound so evil now tho... doubt she was.. but theres always that possibility.. and it wasnt just the drivers fault but u know that.. she probly wasnt doing 40 at the time of impact ? maybe wud have slammed on the brakes ? so it wud have probz been around 28ish

i know it was more selina's fault than the driver.., the driver made a statement to the police and she admitted that she was driving faster than she should have been and had no reason to do so, she said that selina just came out of nowhere and she didnt have much time to react

even if the driver did have to rush to hospital to see someone who was dying, its still no reason to go above the speed limit.. no matter what, the only way you are legally allowed to go above the speedlimit is if you are been escorted...

40mph is fast... even 30 mph is fast, the average human cant even run at 7mph.. when your in a car travelling at 30 or 40 it might not seem fast to you, but if you are a pedestrian walking along side the road, its fast..

i can run at 7mph... very easy... and when ure in a car.... 30mph is slow..
but yeah i no 40 is fast... seen them adverts with that little girl that died on it.. and then she came back alive at 3 mph less

@ the question...if she has broken both legs and if they are broken badly then the nerves would have been ripped from what ever they are attached to...

but she should be grateful that she is still alive..coz this was was happened to my uncle being drunk and walking out into the road and knocked over by car...but did not last more than a few hours
