Nintendo Wii priced and dated for UK
We got our hands on Nintendo’s crazy cool console this morning – and now we know when we’ll get to take one home!

December 8th. That’s the date you should book off work, and make sure you’ve saved up £179, because that’s how much it’ll cost to get your hands on a Wii.

TV presenter Gaby Logan made the announcement this morning at a massive Nintendo event in London, while world famous ball-whackers Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski showed off the delights of Wii Tennis.

Nintendo legend Satoru Iwata also took to the stage – an honour for European games fans, especially as he shunned yesterday’s Wii announcements in America.

Games fans on this side of the Atlantic will also get a copy of Wii Sports included with the console, and we’ll get around 20 more titles from day one, priced between £35 and £40.
