Delta Force : Blackhawk Down Trouble

Hey guys. Ever since i've installed Windows XP Pro i've had the following error when i play Delta Force : Blackhawk Down. I can play the game just fine, but as soon as i exit the game, my computer reboots automatically. I've tried various things like cleaning my cache and my registry, but nothing would help.

When i came onto these forums i read something about turning off auto-reboots in XP, which would give you a blue-screen instead of a reboot. I've done that, and on the blue screen i get the following error ;

These are my computer specs ;

AMD Duron 1200Mhz.
256MB DDR Memory
Geforce 4 MX 420

I've never had these problems before on any other OS, except for windows XP. All help would be much appreciated!

do u have an Avance logic sound card?

it seems the file ALCXWDM.SYS is the problem.

AC'97 Audio CODEC (ALCXWDM.SYS) was created by Avance Logic® and is not digitally signed (not certified by microsoft) so can cause problems with windows.

an update (fix?) can be found here >> http://www.realtek.com.tw/pctech/pc-...&Software=True



other than that make sure windows if updated
